TCC Congregational Meeting - Elevator

Meeting called to order by Pat Morrow
Pat – Outlined the many options that were taken in consideration for replacing existing elevator
Otis – quoted $150,000.00 for new elevator
Ramp installed in basement – in order to have the required grade, ramp would take 136 ft of the basement.
Bring Kitchen and fellowship upstairs – Contacted KP Neuman for estimate of cost. Move kitchen to Nursery. Close off stairs to basement, create floor and remove walls. If elevator is not working, basement can be used for storage only, main access must be removed. Choir office must be relocated and practice must be done upstairs. There would be seating for about 30 people only. Cost for this was $125,000.00.
New lift or elevator – Contacted A4 Access company, has been in business since 1928. Pastor Todd , Pat M. and Bob Z. went to church in Boyne City to see elevator. Quote is for $65,450.00.
Motion to accept A for Access bid from Pat Morrow. 2nd motion from Steve Hatt.
Comments and Questions:
Pastor Todd – stated all due diligence had been done of all options.
Steve Hatt – for the price there is no other option than the A4 Access elevator.
Dan Duncan – Is maintenance included – yes 7 years in contract. Bi yearly inspections are part of contract.
Heather Duncan – Is removal of old included in price? Yes
Bob Zimmerman – There is a deposit of $3000.00 needed by Jan 16th 2026 to keep current price. After Jan 16th there will be a 4% increase.

Yes, vote were overwhelming.
New elevator from A4 Access was approved.

Old Business:
Pastor’s Report: Pastor Todd – Ministers meeting on Nov 17th at Living Waters. Hospital group – thinking of stepping down. Gideon meeting attendance questionable may cancel.
Financials Report: Lorna Morrow - Details attached

Missions: Marty Cheney – Total for month $700.00 see attached for details

Fellowship: Jeff Hozeska – Thanksgiving Lunch this week, Dinner theater play at Eagles in Cheboygan dates are Feb. 6,7 or 13,14. Picked Feb 6
Memorials: Taryn Bednarz - $50 given for George Warner
Personnel:– Mike R to do audio. Andrew is done end of November. Dian to take no salary.
Property: Jim Vance – light on sign not working Pat will help. Light switch in upstairs bathroom having issues will check on it.
Internet: Mike Figura sound/video needs update – looking into what Andrew recommended but will need outside help to setup. Space issues on web site – feed stops after 45 minutes of play of sermons. Working on stickers with Church info for Life books to hand out. Provided Pastor with camera to do service at home in case of bad weather.
Correspondence: Letter from Lord’s Kitchen Sept food truck provided 200 families with food, 1100 meals prepared, 27 haircuts, 41 showers provide, and 22 families used the laundry facilities.
New Business: Jess will ask Sunday for volunteer to host after Christmas eve party or maybe just have something at church.
