TCC Council Minute Summary
December 13, 2022

 
*Pastor Todd discussed upcoming Bible Studies in the Spring, 
with possible Zoom connections available.
*July 30 is a target date for the Church Picnic this summer.
*Mission monies given to Joy Fellowship Food Pantry, The Lord’s Kitchen,
and Salvation Army and GLOW as well as Paws for Purple Hearts.

November 8, 2022
 
*Budget Committee presented Proposed Budget for approval of Congregation.
*Missions giving to Joy Fellowship Food Pantry, Salvation Army,
The Lord’s Kitchen and Heiffer and World Vision.
*Christmas Eve fellowship being planned to follow 6:30 Service.
*New Deacons named: DeDe Crouch, Carol Figura, Mike Figura.
*Christmas Offering will go to Joy Fellowship Food Pantry, 
The Lord’s Kitchen, and Salvation Army.

October 11, 2022
 
*Rev. Todd Crouch will begin preaching October 30, 2022.
*The Budget Committee will be meeting to finalize the annual budget.
*Missions monies will go to Joy Fellowship, Lord’s Kitchen, Salvation Army, as
well as $1000 to the Florida Disaster Relief Fund.
*Bob Z reported on Otis/elevator repair status, as well as snow plow plans.
*Continuing to remember the family of Stacy Schworm; details of her
Memorial Service in Traverse City have been shared.

September 13, 2022

*The Search Committee has proposed a contract for the incoming Pastor.
Motion to approve contract, all approve.  Voting will take place Sept 25.
*Fellowship reported potluck Sept 24 to meet Pastor candidate;
dinner at Dam Site Inn, October.
*Missions proposed an increase for amount given this month to food pantries:
Joy Fellowship Food Pantry, Lord’s Kitchen, and Salvation Army.
Money also given to Annie’s Hope and Child Safety of America.

*Pastor Search Committee continues to speak with candidates.
*Jane reported for Missions:  Giving this month includes our regular amounts
to Joy Fellowship Food Pantry, The Lord’s Kitchen, Salvation Army, cleaning
services provided for GLOW; additionally, $500 each to Folds of Armor
and Wounded Warriors.
*Bob Z reported for Property: pruning and mulch bids discussed and accepted.
*Parking lot resurfacing and re-striping discussed.

*Pastor’s Search Committee reported on responses to advertisements.
*A gift from Elizabeth Benson’s estate was received.
*The resignation of our Treasurer, Laurie Major, was accepted with regret.
*Missions sent $1000.00 for Gaylord Tornado Relief, in addition to regular
amounts to Joy Fellowship Food Pantry, the Lord’s Kitchen, GLOW, and
Salvation Army.
*Following a discussion led by Bob Z, the Council
voted to decommission the elevator.
*Annual Congregational Meeting has been set for July 24.

*Mike F reported for the TCC Search Committee: Advertising, 
Salary and Job Description included in discussions.
*Weekly Fellowship following Worship continues to be a focus.
*Weekly Bible Study to begin on Mondays at the Church with Deb C leading.
*With 10% of monies given to the TCC going to Missions, 
Missions gifts this month are to Joy Fellowship Food Pantry, The Lord’s 
Kitchen, GLOW for cleaning, Salvation Army, and Special Olympics.

*Council Chairperson Mike Ridley brought to the Council Pastor Michael Sanders’ resignation letter. 
It was accepted, effective February 28, 2022.

*Penny reported contacts with the roofing contractor. 
*Discussions for forming a Pastor Search Committee have begun. 
*The Easter donations will go to CARE USA this year.

*Pastor Mike Sanders reported how helpful it was to be away in January;
The church used discretionary funds to assist three families in January.
*Missions assisted Joy Fellowship Food Pantry, Lord’s Kitchen, Salvation
Army, GLOW, Annie’s Hope and Disabled American Veterans.
